As co-creator of Skillsville (PBS KIDS), I helped bring to life a 40-episode (80-story) children’s series that received the U.S. Department of Education’s prestigious Ready to Learn Grant. Developed in partnership with Twin Cities PBS, the series earned a 4.7 GPRA score—the highest in the program’s history.
Through the world of video games, Skillsville introduces kids to new careers and helps them develop essential life skills through engaging, hands-on challenges. I wore multiple hats on the project, including Co-Creator, Creative Director, Executive Producer, Writer, and Head Writer, shaping both story and visuals. Beyond the screen, I led the creative vision for Skillsville’s brand identity, marketing, and community outreach materials.
As Series Creative Director, I oversaw the conception of the show's whimsical visual style.

Bringing my marketing expertise to children’s media, I had the unique opportunity to market a show I co-created—overseeing everything from branding, digital communications, merchandise, and promotional materials.

Community outreach is a vital part of the Skillsville universe. I helped extend the show’s impact beyond the screen by developing hands-on activities, immersive displays, kiosks, costumed characters, and more–bringing the world of Skillsville to life for children in underserved communities.
